Cradle of champagne, a historical, cultural and economic crossroads.
Reims is home to the most famous champagne houses in the world (Pommery, Mumm, Veuve Cliquot, Ruinart, Krug, Taittinger and many more … ). Ideally located in France and central within Europe, Reims has naturally become an important economic crossroads: logistics, pharmaceuticals, agrobio-technologies and spirits of course ... Its proximity to Paris also gives it an obvious edge in terms of investments for companies, which are continuing to set up their offices, production sites, tertiary complexes, call centres and even recently music and TV recording studios there.
Cultural drive.
Nowadays, Reims has moved in leaps and bounds away from its reputation as Sleeping Beauty in the post-war period. Cultural events and venues are sprouting up all over the place and Reims Management School is playing a very active part in boosting the city’s cultural assets. Two international theatres, an exhibition centre, a congress centre, several museums (including Fine Arts, motor vehicles and Palais du Tau), concert halls (La Cartonnerie and Le Manège de Reims), cabarets and a whole host of themed bars, improvisation stages as well as festivals organised all year round ... Today there’s always something going on in Reims, and it has a buzzing nightlife!
Well-being.
Horse-riding, athletics, swimming, football, hockey, rally driving, marathons … Reims has all the sports events and facilities you could want! Running, swimming, practising a team or individual sport or simply joining a gym and fitness centre couldn’t be easier (not forgetting the facilities available at Reims Management School, with its own equipped gym!).
Human-sized, Reims is nevertheless teeming with opportunities and places to relax, to learn something, to spend time with friends and to wander around the shopping streets in the city centre or the wide array of parks and gardens. The combination of all these resources means that Reims is a great place to live, appealing both for its inhabitants and for tourism.
