The list of topics that are relevant to the BPC workshop includes the following, but is not limited to:
Enterprise Systems Integration, Business Process Management and Business Intelligence
Enterprise post-implementation challenges, issues and critical success factors
Using Knowledge Management principles in Enterprise Systems Integration
Integrating Business Process Modeling Tools to Enterprise Systems
Organizational issues related to the integration and the convergence of ERP and BI systems
The role Competency centers structure in stabilising organisation and improving Business Units performances
Are Competency Centers relevant to ES integration and adopted by firms? Does firm size matter?
What are the CC governance structures? Are they typical CC structures or do they vary by organization and cultural type?
What dimensions might be used to differentiate between the different integration problems encountered by enterprise system adopters? Could this categorization be used for prescriptive purposes in anticipating where problems might arise?
How do CCs act to resolve integration problems (both technical and business issues) across business units and work around constraints? On what basis are integration decisions made, and can these parameters be generalised across functions and /or organisations?
How do ERP and BI CC, in interaction with the firm’s core activities and contribute to the development of collective intelligence?
In what way does CC experience reflect a more theoretical level of integration research? In other words, what can the experience of practitioners in developing CC concepts tell us about theories of integration?
